(Monumental) Real Estate
The sustainable investments in (monumental) real estate are mainly done in the Netherlands. The focus in this activity is on renovating, restoring and conserving national and regional heritage for the long-term.
A good example is the Stokhorst estate (“Landgoed ‘t Stokhorst”). This unique estate is situated in Enschede, the Netherlands and was acquired in 2010. After the acquisition, a detailed plan was developed in collaboration with the local community, architects and building contractor to redecorate and restore the buildings in its original state. Both for the exterior and interior, a lot of care has been taken to choose the right original and sustainable materials to ensure that the future of this unique estate is guaranteed.
Other investments in this activity are, amongst others, Hotel ‘t Lansink in Hengelo, the Netherlands, an office building at the Piet Heinstraat 1 and the former School of Music at the Boddenkampsingel, both in Enschede, the Netherlands.
